About Me
WHO AM I?
An early-career computational biologist interested in evolutionary genomics.
I graduated from University College London with BSc (Hons) Genetics (First-Class), followed by MRes Computational Methods in Ecology and Evolution (Distinction) from Imperial College London, with a short stint working in mobile tech in between.
I am currently doing my research at the University of Lausanne within Professor Roman Arguello’s Group. My research question is: An evolutionary genomics and behavioral approach to investigate the evolution of temperature preference in drosopholids.
MY GOALS
In short, I hope to build useful software for the academic world. This will be by continuing to work on my own research, and hopefully finding a need for a particular software, either as it is lacking, or because it is not well-developed. A descriptive manual and my assistance to help solve bugs will be available. I hope this is one day a norm in scientific software.
THE PERSON BEHIND THE SCIENTIST
Art - drawing, painting, creative writing.
Playing sports - just for fun.
Cooking - especially Nepali cuisine. Maybe one day I’ll write a cookbook. That’d be cool. Probably just a pipe dream though.
Eating - of course.
Travelling - need to do this more. London’s still my city though.
Hearts - hold the record for most wins at Silwood Park.
Language - love thinking of them in an evolutionary way.
